Jacqueline Rush Lee is a mixed-media sculptor who came to the University of Hawaii at Manoa as an artist in residence. She is recognized for her work with the book form in hopes to create an experiential reading of her book sculptures. I took the role of her assistant during her residency period and assisted in her site specific series entitled WHORL. This was an eye opening experience for me and I am thankful that Jacqueline was kind and generous in sharing her knowledge with me, and in allowing me to assist her during her residency.
